Crowning of Mary
This photo was taken in Il Gesu in Rome. It features an angel holding a starred crown while looking at Mary before is she crowned "Queen of Heaven."
Morocco Sunrise
This picture was taken while on an early morning day tour in Morocco in December. I have always enjoyed how the dark foreground contrasts with the vivid sunrise.

During my visit to Macedonia in 2015, I visited Ohrid. The visit to Ohrid was definitely the high point of my visit. The weather was perfect, and the scenery could not have been better.

This photo was taken inside of Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris. I've always enjoyed this one since the silhouette of the praying priest against vibrant stain glass creates a strong sense of the sacred.

This is another view of the Cliffs of Moher. The wind was particularly strong here, and there were no guard rails to keep you from going over the edge.

I could not have asked for better weather while visiting the Cliffs of Moher in western Ireland. The weather was temperate and comfortable and provided for excellent photo ops.

This photo of the tower of St. Audoen's Church in Dublin was taken during a nice break in the otherwise rainy and cloudy weather.
Mekong River at Sunset in Laos
Laos has a special place in my heart since it was one of the first places I had ever traveled to independently. It is a beautiful country, and this photo could not have turned out better.

I visited the Palace of Versailles on my 32nd birthday. I took this photo while wandering through the palace. The bust of Louis XVI in front of a painting of his palace seemed to fit perfectly.
Beach at Viña del Mar, Chile
During a day trip to Viña del Mar in late March, I stopped at the beach. It was at the end of the tourist season, so the beach was nearly deserted. I can only imagine how crowded this place would have been a couple months prior.
Sunrise at Angkor Wat
Angkor Wat is still one of my favorite places. This photo was taken at sunrise. I've always loved how the temple is silhouetted nicely against the sky.
Tsarevets in Veliko Tarnovo, Bulgaria
I made a day trip to Veliko Tarnovo north central Bulgaria during the winter of 2015. The weather was clear but windy. As can be seen in the picture, no leaves were on the trees, but I can just imagine what it looks like in the spring and summer with everything in full bloom.
Floating Village in Brunei
Brunei is one of these countries that doesn't fit high into a visitor's bucket list. However, while I was in Malaysia, I decided to take a day trip into Bandar Seri Begawan, which is the capital. While going through the "floating village," I snapped this shot of the homes of the floating village with the Sultan Omar Ali Saiffudin Mosque in the background. A stark contrast between the wealth of the country and the poor is clearly evident.

When I visited Belize in the summer of 2015, I stayed in San Ignacio, which is near the Guatemalan border. Xunantunich is an archaeological site near San Ignacio. It was extremely humid during this time of year, but the site was more or less deserted.
Citadel Počitelj
During a day trip I made into Bosnia-Herzegovina in December a few years ago, a stop was made in the small town of Pocitelj to the see the famous Citadel. The weather was crisp but clear.
Old Town Tallinn
Estonia was the first Baltic country I visited before I moved to Poland for a month in 2012. Even though my stay in Estonia was short, I absolutely loved walking around Tallinn's picturesque old town.

I decided to visit Austria for my 30th birthday, and during my time there, I took a day trip to Melk Abbey, which is about an hour away from Vienna. The abbey interior was ornately decorated and provided lots of great photo ops.

This photo was taken while wandering around the grounds of Nymphenburg Palace. By this time of the day, the fog had completely cleared, and there were hardly any clouds in the sky.

This sculptural group features a scene of the martyrdom of St. John of Nepomuk, who was a Catholic saint in the Bohemian lands.

In late December, after returning from daytrip into Montenegro from Dubrovnik, I was taken to a viewpoint that overlooked the city and Lokrum Island. You couldn't ask for a more perfect sunset.

While I was in Switzerland, I made a day trip in Liechtenstein, and first passed by this place on the bus. On the way back to Switzerland, I made sure to stop here and check out things further. It was definitely worth it.

This photo was taken during a day trip to the small republic of San Marino from Bologna, Italy. The weather was perfect, and I couldn't ask for a better setting.
Temple I at Tikal National Park in Guatemala
I took a day trip from San Ignacio, Belize to Tikal National Park in Guatemala to see the famed temples of Tikal. The day was extremely hot and humid, but it was absolutely worth it.
Bellapais Abbey in Northern Cyprus
Bellapais Abbey is a ruin of a monastery dating from the 13th century. Today, it gives a very impressive view of the city of Kyrenia (Girne) in the Turkish-controlled northern Cyprus.
Road to Ettal from Oberammergau, Germany
While on a trip exploring southern Germany, I decided to walk about 5km (3 miles) from Oberammergau to the small town of Ettal. The walk was very pleasant and passed through a lot of beautiful nature.

This picture was taken on a day that was mostly cloudy, but by the time I took this picture, the weather had cleared up nicely. The Parliament of Hungary can be seen on the far left, and St. Stephen's Basilica can be seen on the far right.
Andorra la Vella
During a day trip into Andorra from Spain, I was genuinely impressed when I saw the capital, Andorra la Vella, nestled in a valley in the Pyrenees between Spain and France.
Modern Andorra
As I explored Andorra, I was surprised to see the very modern and clean city of Andorra la Vella. It was not what I was expecting to find.
Small Church Near Akhtala Monastery
This is a small church located on the grounds of the larger Akhtala Monastery in rural Armenia. I was particularly struck by this angle since it looks like the small church is completely isolated.
Royal Camel Farm Bahrain
While on a trip to Bahrain during Ramadan, I visited the Royal Camel Farm. It is free to enter, and visitors are permitted to wander around and see the 600 or so camels here. This was my first time seeing camels up close and in person.
