No visit to Panama is complete without a visit to the Panama Canal. I had the unforgettable opportunity to not only see the Canal but also travel through it on a ship.
Even though Panama City, Panama is a huge modern metropolis with towering skyscrapers and all the comforts of modern life, it still retains old world and colonial charm, particularly in Casco Viejo.
Even though Central America tends to get a bad reputation, it is actually one of my favorite regions to visit since I’ve often been pleasantly surprised by what I found there. After a two-year absence, I finally had a chance to return.
Coming back to the US is always exciting. It is a time to see family whom I have not seen in over a year, and it also gives me the chance to get important things done and travel to new and exotic locations.
